Technical Sourcing & Solutions

We solve the problem — not just quote the part

Tell us the constraint, not the catalogue number. We match the right material, grade and supplier to your process, your cost target and your regulatory requirement — then second-source it so a single mill, port or principal can never hold your line hostage. The outcome is a part that runs on your equipment, clears in Egypt and keeps coming.

A sourcing brief, not an order form

What you bring us: your process, your cost ceiling, the standard you must meet, and what your current part keeps getting wrong.

What we bring back: a matched specification, a sample to trial, the compliance documents, and a second source — held to your schedule.

What technical sourcing means here

Five things we do that a price list cannot

Spec & grade matching

We match the material and grade to how your process actually runs — heat, shear, pH, dosing, shelf-life — not just to a name on a datasheet. The right part is the one that behaves the same way every batch.

Second-sourcing & de-risking

We qualify a matched alternative to your primary supply, so a price move, a stockout or a closed port doesn’t stop your production. One source is a single point of failure; we build you a second.

Regulatory-target sourcing

We source to the standard you must clear — NFSA, Codex, food-contact — and supply the part as compliant with those requirements, with the supporting documents available on request. We name the standard; we don’t make claims we can’t paper.

Cost-down & matched-substitution support

When the target is a lower landed cost without losing the result, we work the grade and the origin together and propose matched substitutions and second-source options you can trial before you commit a single production run.

Sample & trial management

We run the back-and-forth — samples, your in-house trial, adjustments, sign-off — so the decision is made on evidence from your own line, not a promise. Nothing scales until it has passed on your equipment.

Flavour solutions — our flagship

The flavour problem is rarely the flavour

It is whether the profile holds through pasteurisation, survives the shelf, clears the regulator, lands inside the cost — and whether you can get it again next quarter. Across beverage, dairy, bakery and confectionery, our flavour work is led by Dr. Ashraf Mitwally (Sourcing & Technical), and it is judged by constraints solved, not adjectives used.

Beverage

Constraint: hold the profile through hot-fill or pasteurisation and across a long shelf, while clearing NFSA — and keep it second-sourceable.

Dairy

Constraint: survive fat, protein and UHT, stay stable through fermentation and cold storage, and match the existing house profile your customers already expect.

Bakery

Constraint: withstand bake-out heat without going flat or off-note, and still read true in the finished crumb at a workable dose and cost.

Confectionery

Constraint: take high cook temperatures and sugar systems, hold intensity to the last piece, and keep the colour and label compliant.

A worked example

A beverage maker who needed a second source — without changing the taste

Illustrative of our process — not a specific client

The problem

A beverage maker relies on a single imported flavour. Lead times have slipped and the price is exposed to one origin, but the brand cannot change taste — and any alternative must still pass the maker’s pasteurisation step, hold across shelf life, clear NFSA, and land at or under the current cost.

What we do

  • Take the brief and the current specification, and define what “the same taste” must mean on the maker’s own line.
  • Source and supply matched candidate flavours for trial — selected to survive the pasteurisation and shelf-life conditions, not just to smell right in the jar.
  • Run the trials against the incumbent, side by side, and document compliance to the NFSA requirement with the supporting paperwork available on request.
  • Qualify the winner as a second source held to the maker’s schedule, so the original supplier is no longer a single point of failure.

The outcome you can expect

A documented, trial-passed, NFSA-compliant second source that holds the existing profile — so the maker can keep producing through a disruption, negotiate from two qualified suppliers instead of one, and protect both cost and continuity. We will not promise a result a trial hasn’t earned; the proof is your own line.

How it works

From brief to dependable supply

STEP 01

Brief

You give us the process, the cost target and the standard you must meet — and what your current part keeps getting wrong.

STEP 02

Match & sample

We propose matched grades and suppliers and put samples in your hands to trial on your own equipment — before anyone commits.

STEP 03

Document & approve

We supply the compliance documents for the standard you named and you approve the part on evidence — then it is locked as your spec.

STEP 04

Supply & replenish

We bring the approved part in and keep it coming through our Owned-Risk Supply model — we assume the risk, you take the product.

Tell us the problem — we’ll source the solution.

Bring the constraint your current part keeps failing — the process it has to survive, the cost it has to hit, the standard it has to clear. We’ll match it, sample it, and second-source it.
