How we handle compliance & documentation

Quality & Compliance

We treat compliance as our own job, not the regulator’s. We are the registered importer of record for the goods we land, we clear through the proper channels ourselves, and we build the documentation before the container moves. Below is our posture stated plainly — the standards we work to, the documents we provide, and how to request them. We name nothing we cannot evidence, and we publish no credential numbers.

Our compliance posture

Five disciplines define how we operate. None of them depends on a logo — they are how the firm runs day to day.; we do not publish them here.

Registered importer of record

We import under our own registration and carry the importer-of-record liability ourselves. Being the importer of record is a legal statement, not a marketing one — it means we answer for the declaration, the classification and the clearance.

Customs through the proper channels

We clear through Egypt’s official systems — NAFEZA single-window, ACID advance cargo registration, and GOEIC inspection — with HS classification confirmed and the import file built before cargo ships. We do not move goods through grey channels.

Food-safety handling & storage

Food-grade ingredients are handled and stored to protect identity, integrity and traceability from receipt to handover — lot identity kept intact, storage conditions appropriate to the material, and the paper trail maintained so a buyer can trace a batch back to its certificate.

Supplier qualification

We qualify the manufacturer before we qualify the price. We select on grade consistency, certificate scope and a documented, audited quality system — and source principal-backed, genuine goods, never grey-market diversion. Where a buyer needs to know the certification a manufacturer holds, we provide the manufacturer’s certificate naming the issuing body.

Documentation discipline

Complete, accurate, early. The technical file — TDS, lot-specific CoA, SDS, NFSA paperwork, the correct HS code, halal where applicable — is assembled before the container lands, not chased after it. Documentation discipline is how a buyer or an auditor tells a real importer from a broker.

Regulated lines, ring-fenced

Where a line is regulated, we bound it conservatively. Our tobacco and nicotine activity is trade-only, 18+, licensed and handled separately under its own gated, sober statement — visibly ring-fenced so it never contaminates the food-safety or financing story.

Standards we work to

We state standards the honest way. Where a standard governs the manufacturer who makes the goods, we say so and provide that certificate per shipment on request. Where a standard governs how a material must be supplied or handled, we say we are compliant with — meet the requirements of — that standard, with documents on request, and only where it applies. We do not claim to hold a certification we may not hold.

ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000

Food-safety management. We supply from manufacturers certified to ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000 where stated — the manufacturer’s certificate, naming the issuing body, is provided per shipment on request.

HACCP

Hazard analysis and critical control points. Our food principals operate to HACCP principles where stated; the supporting documentation is provided per shipment on request, where applicable.

FAMI-QS

The feed-additive and premixture safety scheme. Where a line falls in scope, we supply from FAMI-QS-certified manufacturers where stated, with the certificate provided per shipment on request — where applicable.

NFSA registration

Egypt’s National Food Safety Authority governs food imports. We handle NFSA food-import registration and positive-list checks (Decision 4/2020) for the products we land, and confirm the permitted level for your food category before the formulation clears the border. Paperwork shared on request.

GOEIC / Decree 43/2016

GOEIC inspection and foreign-factory registration (Decree 43/2016) condition what may be imported. We are fluent in the requirement and assist a principal’s factory registration where their goods need it — documents handled, not asserted as a badge.

Halal — IS EG Halal

Where halal status governs your product or your label, we supply halal-certified material and provide the certificate naming the certifying body. IS EG Halal is the official certifier for the Egyptian market and Customs may require the certificate at clearance — handled where applicable.

How to read this section: where we say “manufacturer certified to [standard] · certificate on request,” the certification belongs to the producer and we evidence it per shipment. Where we say “compliant with / meets the requirements of [standard],” we are describing the way we supply and handle goods, with documents on request and only where the standard applies. We name no certification we cannot evidence.

Documents we provide

The documentation pack depends on the product and your application. The following are available on request; the CoA is batch-specific, not a generic spec sheet.

TDS — Technical Data Sheet

The grade specification — the properties that actually govern performance, dosage and application — so you can confirm the material matches the trial that worked.

CoA — per batch

A signed Certificate of Analysis for the specific lot you receive — not a representative sheet. Tied to the batch so you can trace incoming QC back to the material in your line.

SDS — Safety Data Sheet

Safety, handling, storage and transport information for the material — for your EHS file and your warehouse, in the format your operation needs.

Food-contact & migration

For packaging resins, food-contact compliance and migration documentation against the relevant standard (EU 10/2011, FDA 21 CFR) where the application requires it — provided where applicable.

Halal — where applicable

The halal certificate naming the certifying body, with chain-of-custody where Customs or your label requires it. Provided per product and batch where the material and market call for it.

Import & regulatory file

NFSA / GOEIC paperwork, HS classification and the supporting compliance statements for the shipment — the file built before the goods land, available to a vendor-qualification team on request.

Registered importer of record · Customs via NAFEZA · ACID · GOEIC · Batch-specific CoA, TDS & SDS · Compliant with / meets the requirements of the named standard — documents on request, where applicable · No “approved/certified” claim without a documented basis · No credential numbers published.

Request documentation

Tell us the product — we’ll send what’s available.

Name the product and your application and we’ll send the available TDS / CoA / SDS — and, where applicable, the food-contact, halal and import documentation. Confidential, NDA respected. Usually within one business day.
