1. Who we are

Innovote for Import & Export L.L.C. (“Innovote”, “we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal data collected through innovoteglobal.com. We are a business-to-business import, sourcing and distribution company based in Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt. This site is intended for business users and is not directed at children.

2. What we collect and why

  • Quote / contact form: name, company, business email, phone, country, your requirement and any attachments you upload — used to respond to your enquiry, prepare indicative quotes and manage B2B communications.
  • AI chatbot: messages you send are transmitted to a third-party AI provider (Google Gemini API) to generate replies, and may be processed on servers outside Egypt. Please do not enter confidential, sensitive or personal data in the chatbot.
  • WhatsApp: our click-to-chat link opens WhatsApp (Meta); messages there are handled under Meta/WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy.
  • Technical and usage data: IP address, browser/device data and server logs, processed for security (web application firewall) and performance (caching).
  • Cookies: see our Cookie Policy. We do not use advertising cookies.

3. Lawful bases

  • Performance of a contract / pre-contract steps — handling your quote requests and enquiries.
  • Legitimate interests — B2B communications, operating and securing the site, and answering chatbot queries.
  • Consent — non-essential (functional/analytics) cookies.
  • Legal obligation — tax, accounting and record-keeping.

4. Sharing and processors

We share personal data only with service providers acting on our instructions — our hosting provider (HostArmada), the AI provider (Google), messaging (Meta/WhatsApp) and website plugins. We do not sell personal data and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

5. International transfers

Some providers operate outside Egypt. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on those providers’ contractual terms and available transfer safeguards consistent with Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law 151/2020) and, where applicable, GDPR/UK-GDPR transfer mechanisms.

6. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

7. Security

We use technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS), access controls and a web application firewall. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Where a personal-data breach occurs, we aim to notify the competent authority and, where required, affected individuals within the timeframe set by applicable law.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law and any legal-retention limits, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection or portability, and may withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing). Contact: privacy@innovoteglobal.com.

You may also complain to Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Centre. If you are in the EU/UK, you may contact your local supervisory authority.

9. Children

This site is directed at businesses and is not intended for minors. We do not knowingly collect their personal data.

10. Changes

We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date shows the latest version.
